My ex does not want anything to do with the baby once the baby is born. Im only 2 months pregnant. Can it be done now or do I have it wait until the baby is born?

You have to wait until the baby is born to do anything. Can I ask why you're so eager for him to give up his rights though? If he doesn't want anything to do with the baby, the what difference does it make to you if he has rights or not? What you should be doing, in my opinion, is making sure you have child support ready to be served as soon s the baby is born

No, there's no child. There's no proof that you're pregnant by him. It's usually not as easy to give up parental rights as just a signature. Is there another person to adopt the child?

First it can't just be done, period, but certainly not before the child is born,

I will be blunt, two months ago when you were having sex is the time to consider if he would be a good father, not now.

You can not force him to give up his rights unless he can be proven to be a danger to the child, and even then, he may keep his rights with supervised visits depending upon the judge.

So if he wants to be in that child's life for the next 18 plus years, you are stuck with it.

Next most likely even if he wants to give up his rights he can't, and if you collect public assistance, the state will go after him for money even if you don't

There is a sticky note at the top of this forum that would have answered your questions. No one can give up their rights to a child. Only a court can terminate those rights and courts arre very reluctant to do so.
