Please define what you mean by "document type". Nowadays most companies want resumes fairly plain with standard fonts. They also want them e-mailed so they can be run through software that places the info in a database.

IS the PDF type just emailing as an attachment or just pasted in the letter?

Some people told me that there are some companies they just filter attachments to stop letters like spams. What shall I do?

This is true, if you are sending resumes out blind and unsolicited. In that case, you can include your resume in the body of the e-mail as well as an attachment. But generally, PDFs are considered safe attachments and not blocked.
Its not true, however, of e-mail addresses posted to respond to ads. Often the ad will specify what format to attach your resume in. Or they will specify, attachment or not.
