So she gets job and has her own money ?

Is there a reason, has wife been bad about management of money ?

And of course if he sleeps on the couch a few weeks, he may change his mind also

That is not a very good position to be in.

Why would you allow this to happen in the first place. You need to know about financial records, mortgages, car loans etc. because you too are responsible for them.

Why he would keep this from you is probably because you haven't demanded to see them.

When you ask him to see the monthly bank statement, what does he say.

Has there been any previous problems with you over-spending that he's attempting to control? If not, he is definitely treating you unfairly and is being controlling.

Marriage is supposed to be a partnership. The money that's in those accounts belong to both of you equally. I don't think I could stay with a man who treated me as if I were less a person or less than deserving than him. I'd be filing for divorce and requesting half of everything!

This is more like complete control. Master, slave. Yuch!

Wife better stick up for herself, and be an equal, or be an EX!
