View Full Version : Why does Wireless Zero Configuration service take so long to come up

My Windows XP laptop is very slow to boot up when I activate the following 3 services - Wireless Zero Configuration, Remote Access Connection Manager and Performance Logs and Alerts. When I disable these 3 services, boot up is considerably faster. But I need at least the first 2 services for my laptop to connect properly. Any idea why these particular services would be causing so much problem.

Take a look at the dependencies and try to change the load order to accommodate. I think loads are alphabetical, but I'm not sure how to change it. It maybe a start.

I don't think the load order will help. As soon as I try to load any one of those 3 services, the load time shoots up from a matter of seconds to 3 or more minutes. If I disable the 3 services, load time is a matter of seconds.
