I did the voltage test on the map sensor and it read 5 volts. After fooling around with the car a little more last night the relay happen to catch again and I actually got a little bit of fire off. It didn't start all the way up, it was like just one or two cylinders fired off. But it was enough to get me pumped. So I think I am close to finding the problem. But close only counts in horse shoes and handgranades. If you could get back to me and let me know what to do from here I would appreciate it.

Thanks

That's good news. If you replace your Main Relay, which should be located around where the driver's left knee hits the kick panel, I think your car will run. The Main Relay's first relay provides power to the ECM, fuel injectors, and second relay. The second relay is energized for 2 seconds, when the ignition is turned on, and when the engine is running which supplies power to the fuel pump. It has a 3.5" metal bracket attaching it to the frame with a 10 mm bolt. Remove the under-dash fuse box cover and the 3 screws securing the lower dash panel cover for access. Turn the ignition switch on and off, to help you locate it. You should be able to hear and feel it click. Keep me posted.

What year and model Civic do you have?
