A old man sitting on a park bench feeding birds sees a town truck pull over down the street from him.two town workers hop out with shovels,one digs a hole the other fills it in.they hop back in the truck pull up ten feet and hop out again,one digs a hole the other fills it in.they hop back in the truck pull up ten more feet and do it again.when they get up to the old man sitting on the bench they hop out one digs a hole the other starts to fill it in.the old man asks what's going on?one of the workers says nothing just the guy who plants the tree is out sick today.

That's just so sad.:)

And here I was feeling sad for the trees that weren't getting planted

This is probably happening right now in Fort Lauderdale, Florida home of the perpetual remake of Las Olas Boulevard! They redid that street about once every other year when I lived there for 25 years. It's in the ritzy part of FtL and had the best streets while the rest of FtL had pot holes large enough to bury elephants in.
