I was laid off this past year... I have two small part time jobs which send W2s... No problem there. To make ends meet I have done “Odd Jobs” for folks. These have ranged from yard work, painting, roofing, carpentry, art-work, recording, etc.. . you name it... Great for my family in keeping us going... But how do I report such on taxes? It is not exactly a business, further if I use a “Schedule C” none of the business codes are eclectic enough to cover the full gambit of odd jobs I do or have done. Also, I have not really kept track of business items/expenses, as it has merely been a way to keep bread on the table. Further none of them are large enough that would warrant a 1099... Is a Schdl C the best option or is there a better way. Thank you very much.
