I used to work at a junk yard and a 1969 mustang came across the scales to get crushed and I had them put it aside and I bought it from the junk yard as a parts car. They did not have a title for the vehicle when it came in so one was not given to me I now have the car running and drivable but I need to find out how to get a title so I can register it. I live in Nashville TN. The old registration was in the glove box and I called the phone number on it and got a hold of the original owners widowed wife and she is willing to help me out to get the title but I'm not sure what I can do.

First of course the junk yard was suppose to give you a salvage title when you bought it.

But the DMV will have to issue the widow a lost title which she will then sign over to you
