I have been battling a culprit for about 1 month. Tiny white roundish bug that I feel around my face. Especially at the beginning, they would wake me up constantly in my nose, mouth, eyes. I thought I had Morgellan's disease as I have just returned from Afghanistan (Navy Corpsman with the Marines). When I would feel something, I would get a flashlight and look into the mirror. I had to look so close, but I always see a little speck of white. Very rarely feel any bites. I live in Key West and I saw a chicken nest out in front of my house around 20 yards away. Figured they are bird mites that got in through open windows, but I cannot confirm this. I've tried to tape them and look under a microscope, but no luck seeing what kind of bug it is. I emptied out my house, except for the couch and chair without the cushions, sprayed miticides, zipped up my bed, cleaned/sprayed the exterior of my house and I am still feeling them, not as bad as the beginning though. They are in my car and work office. I think I keep re-infecting myself with them. I actually bought a fogger and fogged my car and house. I figured the smaller particles may kill them off. It has gotten much better, but still wash sheets daily, keep clothes in garbage bags. I'm just not sure how long I can keep this up. I've spent around $2000 so far in cleaning/insecticides.
How long does a mite infestation take to clear up? Or could this be something different.
Any help would be great, I'm definitely suffering daily.
