This was a Gothic or Harlequin romance paperback where the neighbor residing in a cottage and a young woman meet. She is attracted to him, but is aware of some odd behavior on his part. One day, on her way home through the woods, she is attacked by "something" which seemed to be part man, yet had what she thought was extremely muscular, hairy legs... leading her to the conclusion that the neighbor was not human, but instead, a mythological creature half goat, half man. I read this back in the late 60's or early 70's and would certainly like to read it again! Thanks!
