I gave up my son for adoption born 03/12/1980 in Phoenix AZ @ Good Samaritan Hospital. I tried to find him just before he turned 18 and was told I had to wait until he was 21. It had been a long 18 years & that was devistaing news. Still looking. Not sure what to do & do not have money for lawyer etc. do not want to get scammed. I just want to meet him if he wants that too. What do I do?

Start by reading this thread.
You don't NEED a lawyer--if it was a closed adoption, a lawyer will do you absolutely no good anyway, because unless there is a medical emergency, the records will NOT be opened.
HOWEVER--you might look into hiring a licensed private investigator. That could get very expensive, very fast, though.
Your best bet is to register on reunion websites.
Your son DOES need to be 18 (and I see that he is well past that) in order for a legal search to happen, though. Not 21. Not sure where you got that information, but your son just needed to NOT be a minor when you were searching.
Try reunion websites--I really think it's a great place to start searching.
