I want to know so I can get my webcam and microphone to work! If you also know about the microphone it isn't working either!

Is the webcam and mic built in or are they aftermarket?

They r both built in th old owner said when he upgraded it to windows 7 it didn't work anymore

You need to go to the site for your computer (HP = hp.com, dell = Dell.com) and go to the support section. There you will find downloads for drivers, and weather or not they have compatible ones for windows seven. If they cannot be found there you need to track down the hardware vendors to find possible vendors.
