Is there any dangers to blood consumption? Blood is actually quite nutritious if you think about it. No I'm not asking for attention or to troll. I'm being serious. Some people like to eat odd things, I personally enjoy blood. Is there dangers to this, assuming the source is healthy and disease/chemical (including drugs, medicines, alcohol) free.

If it is your own blood, okay. If it is anyone else's blood I'd say pass. Pass also on blood from any animals (cats, dogs, etc) as well.

With this type of activity such as consuming another person's blood you are setting yourself up for some pretty nasty diseases even if the person claims to be free of hep C, HIV, AIDS, other blood bourne diseases, etc.

Are you really that dumb or is this my imagination that I would even respond to a question like this? You're 17 years old. Haven't you given one thought to your future being possibly disease free or being cut short from some ghastly disease you could have easily avoided?

One who does not believe in the importance of life acts like you do.

The big problem I'm seeing is how do you know it's really a safe source?

Anytime, It is better to be safe then sorry although I have admit I thought I heard the risks are low because stomach acid and chemicals would kill any kind of viruses or bugs , etc... Although if you have mouth sores and sores and opening on your lips or in your mouth would think it would be different.

Not condoning or condenming but defiantly best to get anything from a source that has been proven to be clean and safe from viruses , etc..

Also like it says in the moderation, there is many bad side effects to having too much... Like over the top iron and other conditions.

Take care and have a good day...

Blood drinking is a very touchy thing to do. You do have to be incredibly careful. Specific precautions need to be taken in order to take blood safely such as attempting to NOT use your mouth to drink the blood (in this case its very dangerous to the "doner" for the mouth is filled with bacteria). In the end you honestly should only do this if your practiced in it. First timers should have help or be taught by someone with experience. See this site and others for details >> http://www.sanguinarius.org/guide/blood/safe-feeding.shtml , http://www.vampiresamongus.com/bloodlettingtips.html , http://www.angelfire.com/vamp/vcc/bloodletinfo.html... And of course keep in mind as well that blood letting can be beneficial to the doner or yourself if you take part in it as well. It is a time old tradition of medical practice.
