My truck will hesitate when you press the ppedal to the medal, its really boggs down then it will finally giver. It also raps real loud out the exhaust when you do this. I have straight pipe y dualed.
Last week there was diesel in my fuel tank, so I drained my gas tank, I blew the fuel filter out(no place in my small town had one in stock)
Then I lifted the injectors out, but the problem was, where you remove those little clips from the fuel injectors, some of the injectors didn't part at the clip, but instead came right out. THe ones that came out, looked very dirty around where they insert. Are these injectors seated properly? Are they causing this issue due to having dirty injectors?

Note though, that the truck had the hesitate problem before any of this happened. Just after getting the deisel out, I am fixing every little maintenance this truck needs
Let me know what you guys think
Thanks

. Change the fuel filter.

. Thoroughly clean or replace the injectors.

. Replace the spark plugs (Motorcraft only) with the exact ones that originally came in the truck.

Ty Txgreasemonkey. Do I have to get a shop to clean the injectors, or is there a at home garage way? Also are you fimilar working on these trucks? The fuel line that feeds the injectors we were unable to disconnect. There was a little clip that wrapped around the connection, so we removed it, but were still unable to disconnect the line. We tugged pretty hard, but didn't want to wreck it so wel left it on. It has some fittings I have never seen so we were not too sure.

You will have to remove the injectors and have them cleaned on an injector cleaning machine or replace them.

You likely need a 5/16" fuel line disconnect tool, in order to release the internal coil spring and separate the lines:
