I see allll these questions about these girls who think they are pregnant, but are having a 'period' (of course it's not a period, I know- I have researched so you don't have to tell me what I already know. But, I want to hear someone's own experience and not some websites)
Because I'm really confused.
I just want to ask:
1.Did any of you have vaginal bleeding during pregnancy?
2.What was it like? Idc, TMI or whatever or how you felt...
Whatever you want to say I am not judgmental or weird at all (LOL)
And
3.Did you end up being pregnant or how was your results?

May I ask what you are confused about?

You are correct in that you cannot have a "period" during pregnancy, however, many women bleed. One of the reasons is a condition called placenta previa. A placenta previa is when the placenta either covers, partially covers, or touches the cervix when it should actually be higher in the uterus. This can cause monthly bleeding that some people believe is a period.

Another reason for bleeding during pregnancy is the fact that the cervix has many many tiny capillaries. These capillaries can break from walking, heavy lifting, sex, etc.

I've never experienced this first hand, but I am a labor and delivery nurse, so I have had many patients who have experienced this.

May I ask what you are confused about?

Because EVERYONE when I'm like I think I'm on my period, but there is a possibility I'm pregnant, like NO ONE gets that you can bleed in pregnancy and I don't really mean my period, but it sounds cleaner than VAGINAL BLEEEDING ha ha... and they are like you are NOT pregnant, there is no way... Blah blah blah... So anyway, I just got so many mixed up answers, like my Aunt had her "period" for 3 months before she found out she was pregnant... So I'm just wandering if it has happened to anyone else personally...

It happens, but it is not as common as you think. The typical first sign of pregnancy is a missed period. If you think you are pregnant you need to take a HPT using first morning urine. If you get a negative, and still think you are pregnant, a blood test is in order.
