Every time we turn on the faucets they:eek: spurt before running smoothly. I think there might be air in the line. How do you find out where it is coming from and how do you fix it?

Air in water pipes is very very rare... ;) It usually only occurs when there is a break in the pipe.. usually underground.

Do you have any pipes underground? Is this a new development or has this always been this way? What faucets have the issue? Are the tub/shower valves exhibiting the same problem?

Our house was built in 1967. We must have underground piping because our water comes from a well. This is a new development. It happened shortly after we had a new hot water heater installed. Both faucets are bathroom sinks.

Doesyour pump ever lose prime?
Does this happen on cold, hot or both? Back to you, Tom
