What tool do I need to replace the fuel filter in my Kia Sportage 2001?
The connector looks complicated and I am afraid that I may break it.

I don't know what the connector looks like on your vehicle, but it may require a 5/16" fuel line disconnect tool. See if there's a spring inside the connector--if so, you need a specialized tool. Spray the spring with WD-40, if it doesn't release easily.

There are various versions on the market.
If there are "hair pin" clips, instead, remove the clips with a small screwdriver and carefully pry the connectors off. Be sure to depressurize the system first. If the filter is located under the hood, disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any sparks. Record any radio codes first.
