Hi Guys,
I was just about to order DreamWeaver software to create my website when I read something about Joomla. Do any of you have experience using it? I know it's free but do you like the features? Which do you think is better?

I want to add features such as a video library, down loadable copy, shopping cart, social site links, Google AdSense etc. Please let me know what you have added to your Joomla site and how it has worked for you.

Thanks! :)

Thanks Clough... I read it's free and they offer tons of free templates but I have never heard of it before either. I just looked on that site I like, Lynda.com and they have a tutorial for it.

I hope someone out there has used it and can share their experience.

Here's a link for it

Hey Clough,
I just read about 2 more...

Word Press WordPress WordPress Codex (http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress)
Drupal drupal.org | Community plumbing (http://drupal.org/)

Has anyone used these?

Of the two drupal is a lot more powerful and feature rich.

Hi Clough,
I just checked out some samples of sites you can create on Drupal. I'm stoked... they're pretty awesome! I just want to get some feedback on Joomla before I make my decision.

Hey Guys,
I found a good tip. If you want to compare content management systems like the ones I've listed here (plus many more) there is a site that allows you to do that.

Check out
The CMS Matrix - cmsmatrix.org - The Content Management Comparison Tool (http://www.cmsmatrix.org)

I tried all three...

And the site I prefer is Word Press...

A lot more simple to use and program...
Jumla and Drupal are a lot more advance... But if you can code it... Give it a try!

I use my sites for information and selling information... Word Press...

If you are setting up a online store... Like Amazon... I would sell through Amazon or make a Yahoo store...

If you can get coders for the others though, or you yourself is a computer science major... Let me know what you think of them! :D
