Can you find the Pressure (kPa) in a gas when you know the number of moles and the absolute temperature?

pV=nRT, this is the equation of state for an ideal gas. You can see that you also need to know the volume of the gas, then you can calculate the pressure:

p = nRT/V

If, you know the pressure of that gas and that amount of moles at a certain temperature, you can use a shortcut.

\frac{P_1}{T_1} = \frac{P_2}{T_2}

Say, one mole of a gas exert a pressure of 101600 Pa at 298 K. You need to find the pressure at 273 K.

So, you get:

\frac{P}{273\ K} = \frac{101600\ Pa}{298\ K}

Solve and you're done.
