I am not saying my house is haunted. I do not feel any sort of presence and I think that I would...

BUT

All my my 7 rabbits (I run an angora rabbit rescue) keep thumping! I go in there and nothing is wrong. Rabbits thump to warn about danger. They thump and their eyes are big as silver dollars! I sat in the room with the to listen and see if I could here a strange noise. Nope... nothing

The dogs bark at things I cannot see all the time. BUT they are shelties and love barking. They bark all of the time.

I hear strange noises at night and I just cannot think of what they might be. It is sort of a deep booming noise. Reminds me of a car stereo turned up with the bass on, but its not to a rhythm, and there are no cars around when I hear it.

And every night for the past week my cabinets have been open.

I am one to think that there is a logical explanation for all of this.

-the rabbits may be thumping over a tree brace that is close the window and maybe scraps the window, and for some reason I just can never catch it doing it.

-the dogs bark because they never shut up LOL

-the noises... I have no idea

-the open cabinets... my house is old and drafty. Maybe it has something to do with that. But I have lived here for almost 3 years and this is the first time it has done it!

Then main thing that worries me is that...
I do not feel a presence! No uneasiness at all. I used to live in a house where I always felt like someone was watching me. I was always scared feeling. I would think that if it was paranormal that I would sense something!

I have only see a couple of episodes of haunting on animal planet.
I am open minded but I honestly believe that 75-80% of that stuff can be explained without blaming ghosts!

I feel more at peace here than I have ever felt in my life. I have lived in four different houses, and this one is just the best feeling peaceful one I have ever lived in.
I live with my husband. He has noticed weird things too.

This morning it looked like someone wrote something in the snow on my husbands car. It was more like a drawing but we could not make out what it was because the wind blew the snow. We do not have neighbors, we live way out in the country I am sure no one did this.

I would love to think that it is something else... like maybe a bird was hopping around on the car. But it really doesn't look like that.

Just wanted to share! If the walls start bleeding blood I am leaving.

Hi there country people...
Listen... there ARE no ghosts... if there were such a thing, they would be harassing ALL of us ALL the time... I believe you've answered your own questions... that logical, but overlooked reasons are the answers.. Are there spirits? Absolutely, but not the kind that are going to "watch" us and follow us around to make life unsafe or dangerous in any way. Animals have keen senses that far outweigh human abilities. If we could smell like dogs do, for instance, we could tell when neighbors used the bathroom three miles down the road! Good thing we are sorely lacking in some of these areas. Those cabinet doors? Hmmmm... you know what comes to mind there? Did you not say that there are TWO of you there? And this "paranormal" thing is a bit of a concern/pasttime/interest... would one kind of "help" the situation along by doing little things like that to keep the intrigue level high? Always a probablity... no spooks are going to open cabinets, if there were any, their interest certainly would NOT be your cabinet doors, they'd be busy tugging and poking you personally. We live in a world that's fascinated by the paranormal... and when Ghostbusters showed up, we loved that stuff... remember when Jaws came out? Who went in the water for the next 5 years? We are easily sidetracked into the unknown, primarily because its facinating, unexplored territory. You don't trust those cabinets? Put tape across them before going to bed. Leave them OPEN before going to bed... buy an inexpensive motion detector and stick it some place where hubby does NOT know about it for the first few nights!

A final thought...
At my last house, I saw depressions in the snow outside my windows on the south side of the house... they were straight as an arrow... for weeks I wondered what could have done that... and in time, I saw that they moved closer to the house... exactly parallel, about 6" wide and maybe a half inch deep... what the FLOCK was causing that?? Then, I finally figured it out... the SUN, reflecting off the glass of the windows, was MELTING the snow as the sun moved across the sky... creating perfectly straight lines in the snow... believe me, I was stymied by that for weeks, then after all the wondering... it was a very simple, natural answer...

You research your stuff... you'll find very natural answers to those too.
And... sleep tight... no one's watching you!
