I have domistic hot water off my americanstandard gas fired boiler. I get a gray or smoky color from the hot water only. What causes this and how can it be fix

Hi Valleygas:

Sounds like you have some kind of TANKLESS COIL off that boiler.. yes? If so, it is possible that the coil needs to be acid-washed/cleaned or even worse, it is possible that boiler water could be contaminating your hot water supply?

Rare for boiler water to contaminate the domestic hot water, however, without other issues like the pressure relief valve going off at the boiler... that kind of stuff.

Let us know more about the boiler. Any storage tank connected here, etc.. Finally, is this occurring at only one or two faucets? Let me know... O.K.
