I want to place a new shower stall in my basement.Right now my shower is just open drain with shower curtain.My problem is how to match the new stall with old drain.The stall has precut drain.My old drain is off about 2 feet off.Thanks

More details please and maybe a picture. Concrete floor with floor drain, right? Move they shower over and make an indirect drain connection or break up some concrete and remove the floor drain trap.

The drain is in the concrete.I do want to break up the concrete.How does the indirect connection work?I though about mounting the show stall base up about 6 inches and using flex hose to drain.Thanks

You can do that but it is not a good look and can be an issue if you ever sell the place. Build a base out of pressure treated lumber with a pressure treated plywood sub floor. Set your stall on this ply and be sure to put down about 16 baseball sized clumps of structolite or modified thinset, this stops the floor from creeking. Use PVC connected to the shower drain, make a 90 turn toward the floor drain and another 90 directly above the drain, drop a PVC line staright down into mthe floor drain as far as it can reach, the floor drain is already your trap. This is what a indirect drain is.
