My child accused my ex-husband of choking him. I know this is not true as he is a very good father. However my son has a bad temper and likes to point fingers at others accussing them of doing wrong in order to avoid addressing his own behaviors. He is 9 yrs old. The state of NH threatened to take the kids away from him (the other 7yrs) and place them in foster care. In order for me to get them they told me I had to sign the papers stating that he is abusive even thou I truly know he isn't now my ex-husband cannot see the children with out having a state worker supervise him until court in April. Was there any other way I could have gooten my children with out them forcing me to lie? And any recommendations as to where we go from here.

You lied in Court? That's perjury, a crime which is seldom charged but, if charged, is serious.

It would appear you testified in that manner of your own free will - unless someone was holding a gun at you, you were not forced.

You need an Attorney to resolve this because the minute you admit you lied your "ex" has a lawsuit against you.

I'm not clear whether they told you had to lie and you refused or you succumbed.

What proof did the investigators have to support the 9 yr old's claim? Why isn't their father fighting this with a lawyer?
