how do you open a Swingline Strongarm 113 stapler? Be very specific, because I tried everything. GM

On both of my Swingline 113 units I just lift the handle and can then get to the slider that presses the staples forward.

You pull the slider out and stand it up against the front of the assembly, then slide the staples in, then reinsert the slider. You DO have to be careful because there is a flexible metal feed on a sling which appears to be under a lot of tension.
