I have never been employed making over 15,000/yr and as of date I have never filed taxes. Reasoning behind that Im not sure beside the fact that I don't know how. Anyway I need to file my taxes and I need to know where to start, if Im looking at trouble from the IRS and whether I should consult a Professional, i.e.. HR Block, Jackson Hewitt, or Something like a tax attorney or CPA. I don't want to sound like idiot which I may very well already, but Im very curious to know where to start because I want to get this situation handled before I come across trouble.

Are you self employed? Then you file tax return if income is $400 or more.

KAG412:

Go find a local, experienced tax professional and bring in all of your forms ffor the past years.

Trust me when I say this: You are not the only person to have done this!

Most tax preparers with a ractice of any size has at least ONE client like this per year for whom they have to file multiple tax returns to get them caught up.

My personal record for federal return is SEVEN, though I did have to file FIFTEEN state returns once for a couple who simply did not understand that the state had its own income tax return requirement.
