This morning I was finishing up getting ready for work. I was sitting with my legs crossed on my bed, when I get up I felt and heard this weird sensation inside my head kind of like my brain moving. Then I felt a sharp pain on the left side of the neck. I couldn't move my head to the right at all. At first I tried to sit back down and I couldn't bare the pain and had to immediately stand up. The pain is still there not as bad as in the beginning but even when I'm not moving my neck I feel it. When I do move my neck to the left it hurts a lot and it travels to my left shoulder, I can also hear my head crack, almost by my ears. The smallest effort in moving my neck causes me pain.

Should I go see a doctor, just in case there's a possibility it could be serious?

It's been a few days, has it gotten better? Have you seen a doctor? I would go to both a doctor and a chiropractor. Sometimes, you can twist the wrong way and temporarily agitate a muscle, but if it prevents you from functioning, it could become pretty serious, especially if you start losing any range of motion and remain stiff.
