I have an old Dell, needed to start from scratch and couldn't find my disc, found disc on eBay for maybe $10. Works fine, will need to download some utilities and drivers after installation.
Here is a Sample:

Contact Dell. If they send you the wrong disk they should replace it.

Or you may have a boot partition that contains the recovery image.

How do I check to see if I have a boot partition?

When you boot there should be instructions to press a key to enter Recovery.

Check Dell for that Model, Mine didn't, but my sony does(hidden recovery partition), it depends on the model.
Its F10 or F12 on startup on some.
