How do you light the pilot light on a carrier heater?

If it is like everything else, turn the gas control to pilot and push the red button in. Light the pilot when the gas comes on and hold it down. I usually hold it down about 2 minutes to make sure it doesn't go out when ai let go. Then turn the gas control back to on.

Is there any way that you could give a little information about your Carrier furnace. Does it have an instruction sheet that you could follow. Does it have a Thermocouple? Does it have a spark igniter, does it have a hot surface igniter. All of these things have a lot to do with how you light a pilot.
