Okay so my wedding isn't until June 15th, 2011, but I was told the sooner you start the better. My fiance' a few of you may know as ITStudent2006 is gone to basic. He would like me to start figuring things out so we know how much we are going to need to save for. But honestly, I have no idea where to even start. I know what dress I want, && the bridesmaids dresses... but since we aren't going to do a traditional church wedding I'm lost. We are planning just a small simple backyard wedding, but we still want everything to be elegant looking. In order to do this what are some ideas? What should I be looking at getting to make it just as nice as if it were in a church? We are somewhat on a limited budget since I work a minimum wage job && he's only in the Marines. Any ideas are greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Congratulations!
First of all I think you have a great idea!
You definitely have to decide how many people you want that you want to invite.
Then you need to figure out if you want a tent.
Let's face it, even on your wedding day there could be inclement weather.
Can you accommodate the people
Inside? A lot of churches probably
Would rent out the tables and chairs
And even deliver them.
It doesn't hurt to find out all of these fees now.
Pew bows can be made by you and your friends now.
Every time you hear of silk flowers on sale you could buy your favorites.
And then you could also have fresh flowers to put in the area where you and your groom will exchange vows.
You could cover all the chairs with
Beautiful covers and big bows or just
Cover the chairs at the bride and groom table.
Helium balloons would be an inexpensive way to decorate also.
You could rent or buy an archway
And line it with balloons.
Get some of your friends that are not
In the wedding party to help with
The decorations.
There is so much to do
I prayed to God for His help and things worked out for me better than I could even imagine!
My prayers are with you that you have a lovely wedding and good weather and a wonderful life
Together.

Hi, padmapatak!

Are you one of the people that run that site, please? You're promoting it in every answer you've given so far.

Thanks!
