I have an old credit card debt, I was served papers saying that they were now going to garnish my wages and bank account. Right now I am receiving unemployment, I know they cannot garnish my unemployment checks, but can they garnish my income tax refund?

Its possible, but it's a complex process that few creditors will go through. But once the money is deposited in your bank they can grab it.
