I want to know if California has any dogs bans, my husband and I are moving there soon and we are looking in to getting an "aggesive" breed as I've heard it, we are wanting a rotti or a pitt and I not sure if cali is one of the states taking up dog bans

There state law allows cities to pass their own laws on "dangerous" breeds. So you need to check with the city you are planning on moving to

Yes, check the area.. My best friends have had a couple Rottweilers and a mean bastard Pomeranian, which (of course was about 4 pounds) but controlled the poor 100 lb dogs to bits (poor Rotties) They live in Northern Californian and I have dogs, (vicious poodles) but there has been no ban as far as I know:confused:

I do know that some people will not rent to anyone with a terrier mix breed (thinking Pit Bull) but that is their rule not the states.:)
