After installing our Kohler Persuade toilet, it rocks from side to side and from back to front. The anchor bolts are installed tightly and the brackets are tight to the tile floor. My theory is that the nuts that slide vertically in the backets are sliding vertically despite the bolts are tightly screwed to the porceline bowl. Has anyone else encountered this situation too? Suggestions? -Chris

Pull the toilet! It sounds like the closet bolts aren't secured to the flange. Do not tighten any more or you'll crack the china on the bowl. Let me know what you find when you get the toilet up. Good luck, Tom

Before you installed the toilet, how high was the flange compared to the surface of the floor? This sentence does not make sense to us "bolts are tightly screwed to the porceline bowl" The bolts pass through the bowl base and a washer and nut go on top, tighten and cut off the excess bolt. Is that what you meant?

Thanks for your suggestions. The Kohler Persuade is a unique design in that it doesn't use flange bolts like any other toilet I have seen. Please visit the following link and scroll to step 6 to see the brackets and step 21 to see the sliding nuts:

Has anyone successfully installed this particular toilet?
