I have a stipulation for judment from Mann Bracken in Concord Ca. they filed the stipulation 2 days after filing for a request for dismissal without prejudice. I have been paying on the stipulation for 1 year. They have not cashed my check from December 2009 and now all their phones are saying they are disconnected and I am finding searches for them on the net regarding them going bankrupt. Do I continue to send my payments or not?

File a motion with the court, and explain that you have been making payments on the stipulation, but your payments are no longer being accepted. Ask the court to dismiss the case if a new attorney is not substituted in within a reasonable time. 30 days should be enough. It probably wouldn't hurt to include a copy of one or two of the articles that say Mann Bracken has gone out of business.

The only thing to add to SumAttyGuy's answer is to make your payments into a separate savings account until the issue is resolved. It will help if you prove to the court that you continued to set aside the money.
