I am remodeling the master bathroom. I have torn out everything down to the cement floor and studs. I (Mywife) wants the double sinks to be on the (east) wall but they were on the (south) wall. She wants the tub on the (north) wall to convert to a shower. She wants the old sinks (south) wall to convert to a jacuzzi tub. No problem! Right.
So, step one, I tore out the tub and exposed the drain. Jackhammered up a couple of feet of cement and relocated the drain toward the center of the shower. Now I need to get both drain and copper to that East wall for sinks. Was thinking of cutting the slab 4" wide from shower to (West wall to sinks on East wall. Appro 12 feet. Run drain line and copper under slab and then backfill with dirt and then re- cement. Is this a code acceptable solution? OR, should I run both the drain and copper from the South wall around to the Eastwall buy running both through the studs in the walls?
Thanks!
