How do I terminate a protective order that I filed against my boyfriend, that was less than a year ago? I was a minor, so it was in the interest of me, but now I'm an adult.

How long is the protective order for? How long until it expires?

I don't see an answer on the other thread.
Maybe someone should merge these threads.

I can't find the other thread! I basically said that if the Order expires within a short period it might be just as easy and quick to allow it to expire and do nothing.
On the other hand if OP wants it dropped in NY she has to petition the Court.
I don't know where she is.

I clicked on "Kakosta" at the top of this thread, and was given the option to "find all posts by Kakosta". There is only one other thread (https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/criminal-law/dropping-protective-order-431764.html): same title, same question, no answers.
Is it possible that someone deleted it?
Your answer is correct. Judges tell petitioners, in my experience, that if they were to voluntarily make contact with the person against whom the order is directed (call, visit, etc.), the DV protective order is for all intents and purposes a dead letter.

It is also possible there were three threads - one was pulled, two remain.
