Hi everybody, I have a lettet in Jpg format. I`m supposed to add it to another file which is in Microsoft Word format and then print it all together. My problem is converting jpg format to word. If I do that, then easily put it at the proper place in the middle of the other file. I also downloaded IrfanView, but it doesn` work. Thanks for your help.

IrfanView surely does work for what it was designed for, viewing and converting pictures from one picture format to another.

To put a JPG picture into a Word document:

1) open the word document
2) put the cursor where you want the picture to go
3) click on Insert > Picture > From File
4) browse to and select the file
5) manipulate the size and placement from there

Either that or you will have to run it through an OCR engine.

You can check out how to convert picture (JPG) to text via Google Docs OCR (http://www.wareprise.com/2010/01/12/convert-picture-or-image-to-text-with-free-google-docs-ocr/).

You could put the jpg into note pad then copy and paste the text into word.

You can also do this with any image file to find out the copyright holder, if copyrighted that is.
