Ok well here is what is going on. I replaced the old thermostat with a Hunter 44155C programmable thermostat. I did this in the summer and it worked great with the Central Air. When we got the gas turned on to the house we tried to use the heat (I was told the central air has gas packs). The heat works great but you have to walk over to the thermostat and turn it on and off when it gets to cold or to worm. If you turn the heat on the thermostat will not turn the heat off until I manually walk over to it and turn the unit to off. So when you flip the switch to heat it stays on and won't go off. During the summer time it worked great, the AC kicked on and off like it should. Here is how I have it wired up, 4 wire system Green wire to "G" Red wire to "RH" with a jumper to "RC" Blue wire to "Y/O" and a White wire to "W/1". I believe all of that is correct. When my wife and I bought this house we did not realize it had two thermostats. Both were the same just in different rooms, the old circular ones no idea what how to describe it other than that. I replaced the one that was next to the intake vent for the AC unit. The other one no idea if it still works but it has been switched to off for some time now and I tried messing with it to see if that was the problem but no luck.
So with all of that being said can some one please give me some pointers on how to fix this problem. Thanks in advance!
