I have an Aquadis faucet and shower kit M06-2240 the water runs cold only. It is a temperature and pressure balanced cartridge

I have removed the cartridge, but don't see anything to fix or adjust.
If I turn off the cold water supply by screwing in the adjustable screw valve to the right of the faucet, no water pressure is available.
If I remove the cartridge and resupply water, it still seems to be running cold only.

Turn off the hot water side of the faucet the same as you did the cold and see if you get hot water when the cartridge is out.
Let me know.

Thanks for the speedy reply. It is a single handle faucet with a lever that you pull/push turn to turn on and move between hot and cold.
As you suggested I removed the cartridge, which is in two pieces. At first I had not seen that the second piece also came out. When I removed that piece and played between hot and cold by adjusting the open/close screws, I can see that I have a proper supply of both hot and cold. However, when I rebuild the cartridge assembly, I get no pressure from the hot water, but I do with the cold.
I believe that the problem lies within the second piece after the cartridge, it is described as a pressure balance balancing spool by Aquadis.. http://www.aquadis.com/image/rp-d033.jpg I took this apart and there is a valve inside that apears to have oneside open for water flow, but the other closed, and I can't manipulate it... I guess the best thing is to order a replacement balancing spool.

Hi Tom:
Replacing the spool will probably be the best overall thing to do. In the meantime, if you have some spare time and some CLR (calcium/lime/rust remover) you could soak the spool for an hour or so and see if you can free the balancing mechanism... works sometimes... ;)
Let us know how you make out... O.K.?

Hi Mark
I managed to get the spool out and sprayed it with a Rust Free, can't remember the brand... but it seems to have worked for now. I was surprised how bad the spool was... its only four years old and that shower is not used that often. Anyway I cleaned it up, reassembled it, and voilą, hot water. I'll see how long it lasts, meanwhile I will order a replacement piece.
Many thanks
Tom

Well, this really is social media at work. 2.5 years later but I just had to say that I had the same problem with the same make of faucet, except with the hot water. Took out the spool, put it in CLR and voilą, it works! I was thinking I would have to go all over town to find a replacement as I wasn't having much luck on-line but this took care of it. Thanks to Tom for having the problem and to Mark for being able to remedy it.

How did you remove the spool

Did not work. I found two cartridges, hot on left and cold on right. Used socket wrench to remove hot. Found hat the plunger on a spring could be removed and rubber O ring could be removed before soaking the rest in CLR. Was afraid CLR would not be kind to rubber. After all this was cleaned and everything reinstalled - no difference. Do I have to remove the whole mixing chamber assembly and unplug it?
