View Full Version : Flushing the toilet to stop plumbing from making noise after the bathtub is run

After the bathtub is run, the pipes start making a rattling noise. Flushing the toilet makes it go away. What can we do to fix it? It is occurring more often

Unlike many of the other noise issues... our plumbing "vibrates/makes noise" after we fill the bath/run water in the tub. Flushing the toilet makes the noise go away. Flushing the toilet alone does not cause problems. The noise only occurs after running the tub and flushing the toilet makes the noise go away... Help!

There is something wrong with the water pressure in the house. The sudden on and off a Tub/Shower can cause a sudden pressure change in the system. The flush of the toilet with its slow flow will allow the pressure to build slower.
