This movie is about a girl from a wealthy NY family who finds love and wants to be loved for herself and not her wealth.She runs away from school ? Returning to her family home in NY which she knows will be vacant as her family moves to its other home in Florida for the Winter .The house is however occupied by a kindly older gentle man who presents himself as the butler? Of the family who takes care of the house in their absence .He is in fact a harmless old homeless man who lives in this familys homes in NY and Florida respectively when the family is in the other home. The house in NY gets fuller as the daughter takes people in .I am fairly sure it is a black and white Christmas movie 1940-1950s .It has the usual NY Irish cops ,happy ending etc .Please help with title .Thanks
