The computer turns on but nothing on the screen. I took the CPU out and put in back in. I put artic paste on the CPU and put the heatsink on top of the CPU. I started the computer but nothing on the screen. I bent some pins on the PGA but I straightened them out. I could have fried the CPU. The lights come on and the dvd player will come out when I push the button. I disconnected the power from the hard drive and restarted but nothing doing. I cleared the BIOS but to no avail. Any Ideas.

Disconnect everything from the motherboard except for minimum required memory, processor, and video adapter/onboard video. Check motherboad for items wedged between it and chassis (loose screws, etc.) If still no joy, stick in a POST diagnostic card and see where POST is hanging. If processor was first run without thermal paste and pins were also damaged, I'd wager it is dead but a POST diagnostic would confirm this.

The motherboard manual also mentions setting bus and clock frequencies for the specific processor used, however no mention of how to do this was made that I could find with a cursory skim. The board layout also did not show any clock selection jumpers which was a common way of doing it. A thorough read of the manual may be helpful if you haven't already done so.

It may also be the power supply. If you could, try changing out the PS from another computer and see if it boots.
