View Full Version : I have a nail salon and I need to install a sink.

I have a nail salon and I need to install a sink. Getting hot and cold water to the sink is no problem. Draining the sink is the problem. There is a concrete floor so the drain can not be put in the floor. My salon is in the middle of the building so I can't run it along the walls because it would run across other office's walkway. What ever I use would have to be quite because of the other offices. Any suggestion?
Thanks
Joyce

I'm thinking you are goint to have to use an ejector pump of some sort. But you are going to have to hire a plumbing company to look at your situation to really get the best plan of attack. My thinking is , if there's a will, there's a way. But it would be almost impossible to give good answers on this question without seeing it in person. If it only affected your space, it would be a different story, but since you have to do this and keep all other offices happy(and up to code) you need a licensed plumber to do the work. Good luck and please let us know what they have to say.

I agree with MGD, up to code will be the biggest hurdle. I am guessing you are renting this space, have you talked to your landlord about this plumbing improvement. It will need a permit and most likely a licensed plumber to do the work. Call 3 plumbers and get their ideas and bids.

Have you any plumbing in your unit at all? How close is the nearest restroom? Have you discussed this with the land lord? Regards, tom
