We removed the toilet in our master bathroom to do some tiling. Once done, we were not able to install the toilet back because a piece of the flange had broken off. We decided to buy a new toilet (that uses less water) and called a plumber to put a new flange down and install the new toilet. It took them almost 4 hours but got the job done. We've never had any type of plumbing problems at this point. Two days after the plumbers came, I was taking a shower and noticed the water was not draining well. Then I got out and noticed the bathtub in our master and guest bathrooms had water coming up through the drain. Also, both toilets would not flush. We called the City to see if there was an issue with the sewer lines backing up. There was no issue with them. They said most likely we need to snake our pipes. We had a second plumber come out (had to call a different company because it was a holiday and the first plumber was not available). They snaked our pipes. This fixed it for about two weeks. Now today.. again, I was taking a shower and noticed it wasn't draining. Both bathtubs had water & sewage coming up through the drain and toilets would not flush. We plan to call the second plumber out again since they did not fix it. But I'm wondering could this possibly be related to the original plumbers who came out. None of our sinks have a problem, its only the toilets and bathtubs. What is happening and what do you suggest we do?
