I am an hourly wage earner. My employer is talking of putting me on a salary instead of hourly. I wanted to know what guidelines he needs to follow if any on paying me a fair wage for the time they expect me to work. If you could tell me where to find these guidelines I would really appreciate it.

Not sure what you mean about guidelines but you can bet he is trying to save money, at your expense. I guess you currently work 40 hours with a OT option at a certain rate so you know what you currently earn. What salary is he offering and what beneifts?

Most US states have a min salary requirement to be considered salary that does not have to pay overtime.
** you just have to work as many hours as needed.
It averages about 26,000 or 27,000 a year the last I checked on it.

Also is this some type of supervisor position, or what type of job is it
