I don't know the title or the artist. This has to be one of the real old ones as I am now past the 3/4 century mark, and it dates back to my childhood, and now keeps haunting me, there are only three lines to the song plus the tune that I remember. The words go like this.

Read them gently to me brother, read them as I fall asleep
For I wake to find I'm in heaven, dearest brother do not weep
