My problem that when my washer dumps the water it backup and spill over the entire floor. Had the line cleared. Work fine about two weeks and had a repeat of the same problem.please tell what I can do to solve this mystery. Thank you. Paul.. montgomery al.

How new is your washer and how large is the stand pipe it drains to? A 2" pipe should be fine but some new machines can over power even a 2". You can make a sealed connection between the drain hose and the drain pipe.

I had the very same problem. Today's more powerful pumps can overload a older drainage system.
How I over came this was to seal off the hose and stand pipe with duct tape or a compression fitting, (see image ) ant make it a closed system. The pump will force the discharge through and sealing off the standpipe will prevent backups. This will not hurt the washer pump. Mine has been on for over five years with no problems or backups.
