I have a mobile home, the furnace is a coleman, the gas valve is (model 7660-326) I have let the pilot (standing) and as I turn the control knob to on, the gas ignites... I have the thermostat all the way down, I have the power to the blower off, and it still is burning... If I turn the power back on to the blower, the blower will turn on for about two minutes and then shut off, and it keeps repeating... the only way I can shut the main burner off is to turn it back to pilot... I have put a new thermocoupler and a new thermostat, same problem... could it be that the valve is stuck, or what could the problem be? Thanks

Valve could be stuck but that is not likely. Try removing the wires off the gas valve to see if the gas valve will shut off. Now make sure you label the wires as to exactly where they go and also make sure the power is off. Then remove wires and make sure they are separated so they do not touch anything then reactivate the power. Report back as to weather or not the gas valve turned off.

Hmm, if I remember correctly, I did remove the two wires that go to the control valve and it still kept burning... if the valve is stuck, will I have to replace the whole thing? Thanks for your input!

If the gas valve is stuck in the open position then the valve is toast and will have to be replaced with like same. Mobile home units can be very picky on the parts especially the gas valves. Post the brand and the complete numbers off the valve and I will see if it is still available or if it needs to be switched over to a newer number if it is on my list of approved Coleman Mobile home gas valves. Also state if you are using natural gas or LP/Propane gas.

Ok, I disconnected the wires with power off, still burns: Here is the model, Coleman 7680B- Series-856 using propane. The valve is 7660-326 standing pilot... thanks for your reply
