I will need some help with this one. I have a bathroom in my basement. I believe there is an ejector pump in the underground basin below the sink. There is a wooden cut out cover for the top of the basin which has two small cut out holes in it (why? Who knows?). The liquid is beginning to overflow and I need suggestions on what to do if I can do anything myself. Im not even sure if I am using the correct terminology but I can't figure out why the water keeps rising in the tank and won't drain. The toilet is rarely flushed so I can't see how any debris would be stuck inside.

Have you checked the pump for power yet? First, check the breaker or fuse.should be a dedicated circuit. If all set there, take the power cord from the pump and plug it into an extension cord... then run it to an outlet you know has power... let me know what happens.
