Okay my friend is one of those girls who swares every other week she is pregnant then miscarries within weeks, I called her out on it when she came up to me and told me she was pregnant again when I announced my pregnancy. She went to the dr about 3 months ago and got a negative blood and urine test where both negative so she's gone every week since and another one of our friends works in the office and she said she over heard the dr telling her that she has her body convinced she is pregnant so her body is starting to act pregnant she's gone so far as gaining weight, her breast are starting to produce milk, the whole nine yards!! So my question is can you convince yourself you are pregnant or is she really pregnant with false negative?

It is possible that she can do it. A lot more possible that she is just lying

You can trick yourself into "feeling" pregnancy symptoms. But my guess would be your friend is attention hungry and is lying.

Your mind is a marvelous thing. It can play tricks on you beyond your imagination.

That's what I was trying to find out. Because she has done nothing but go on and on for years about he being pegnant and never really being pregnant and I think that she has just convinced herself that she is pregnant like the dr said. Thanks everyone for your help!:D

This is actually a psycological condition. My sister who is a doctor was telling me about it. Some women who want to be pregnant begin to think that they are and also begin to have symptoms of pregnancy. I'm not sure how extreme your friend's case is, but she may have this condition.

Thank you, should we confront her? Should she seek help for the condition if she truly does have it?
