I have what smells like a sewer coming into my master bath, the other full bath or a 2 br home, as well as into the kitchen and living room. At night the smell in the living room can get over powering and the living room smell is always stronger than either of the bathrooms. I was told that it was the wax seal and had a plumber take up both toilets and replace the wax seals. That same night, the smells were back and have been back everyday. It seems worst at night and even worser still on cooler nights. Toilet in the first bath room is a water saver and flushes strong, but the toilet off the master bedroom is not a water saver and is much slower, most of the time after it flushes, there always seems to have a bit of toilet paper remaining. I usually have to flush this one a second time and hold the handle down until most of the water is gone before the last of the toilet paper will be gone. Can you offer any help? If it makes a difference in how you answer, I am elderly, not that mobil and on a fixed income. I will not use that plumber again! Thank you!

Do you have any floor drains? They could be dry... Poor some water down them. Also, any sealed floor drains? The seal could be bad. You would want these replaced.
